Tragedy Spring…

November 12, 2011 By Cari

My brother Jason's band Tragedy Spring
My brother Jason playing with his band Tragedy Spring...

I went onto Facebook to check on something and found my baby brother had put some photos of his new baby son up…he’s adorable! If I’m really good I’ll get him a gift before he graduates from high school (that’s before my nephew graduates…my brother graduated some years ago and he’s still waiting for a graduation gift not to mention a wedding gift). I then found a link on my brother’s page to his band, Tragedy Spring’s latest song, ‘Willow Tree’ on MySpace. If you like acoustic/rock you may love this. I think Outskirts is my favorite song then Willow Tree, but I like them all (and not because he’s my brother and he wrote the songs and sings – I’m not that nice! He’s just super talented.) On second thought, maybe Surrender is my favorite… In my early teens I spent hours rocking him (as a baby then a toddler) and trying to brainwash him into being an Elton John fan. I don’t think it worked, but maybe if I hadn’t hadn’t played him all that soft rock he’d have ended up a head banging Heavy Metalist. There’s no telling the influence of an older sister!

I’ve been ill the last two week with some sort of virus as well as a stomach bug (just to make life more fun). Thankfully I’m feeling better and the last few days I gathered enough mental energy to start chapter 42. I’m nearly at 116,000 words on Dancing the Maypole. Soon…it will be done…sooon…
