On Saturday I got to go out for the day. Outside the sun was shining through the trees over this little pond. I only had my i-phone so I didn’t think any of the photos would turn out, but I got several magical shots (at least I think they’re magical). When I was taking the pictures I was focusing on the light and shadows on the water…

Magic duck...I love how this turned out. The rays of light on that green the shadows on the water make it magical. It looks like it could have been painted by Millais (a Pre-Raphaelite). We'll call the duck Ophelia and pretend she's drifting... The little white duck swims into the magic...that mossy green is my current favorite colour. If I can find some velvet moss-green fabric I'm going to have to make myself a vest/waistcoat. Stardust mid-day...I love how the duckweed looks like a constellation of stars. Are we gazing into a pool or looking into another dimension of reality? Inside out... if my soul was trapped in a photograph I'd want to be here...
Love the pics,great color, composition and using an i-phone! We can find magic in the world when we lest expect it. You were blessed with a wonderful afternoon of rest(after being so ill). Your spirit needed beauty to continue with life and your writing. Sending wishes for more blessing your way.
@donna
I’m so glad you enjoyed my pictures! And it was a lovely restful uplifting day. I’m now half way through chapter fifty of Dancing the Maypole and quite excited to see how it all pans out (that should make me write faster!). 🙂
