Sunset, moonrise…

November 15, 2010 By Cari

I woke up late today and saw the sun was shining through the leaves and thought I’d just pop outside with the camera for a short walk. Over two and a half hours later I finally came home cold, tired and starving, but I did get to see some lovely images (not all of which I was capable of capturing), but I thought I’d share my favorite photos of the day.

Self portrait at St Leonard's Priory
Self portrait at St Leonard...if I'd checked the other photos of myself on my little camera I might have noticed I had lipstick all over my teeth...and I walked through town smiling at everyone...oh well...they probably think I'm one of the local nutters!
An old lady was feeding the birds just as I got to the little bridge...
An old lady was feeding the birds just as I got to the little bridge...I loved the swan family!
I was trying to photograph the water and the duck paddled into the picture...
I was trying to photograph the water and the duck paddled into the picture...
A close up of the water...
A close up of the water...I just love it! It looks like paint, but it's rippled reflection.
My shadow admiring the view
My shadow admiring the view...she sort of looks like one of those graffiti paintings. You won't see me going around with a can of black spray paint putting my shadow on old stone walls...tempting, but I suspect I'd be arrested for defacing property. My, "It's art!" protest would be met with derisive laughter as they locked the cell door!

And one of the last shots of the day…

Sunset...moonrise...lovely!

    @becky
    I love that duck on the water picture too…I think that’s one I’ll have to have printed off. I’ve been thinking about that last e-mail you sent me. Let me know a good time and I’ll call and torture you! Love you too!!!

    @sarah
    Thanks Sarah! When I saw the three young grey swans with their parents in white it made me think of the Celtic fairy tale of the three sisters who were turned into swans and that made me think of my sisters! 🙂 Let me know a good time to call and I’ll torture you too! I meant to reply ages ago to your last e-mail, but my brain fell out. I’ve dusted it off. Hopefully there aren’t any chips or cracks. Love you too!!!
